Sniff, sniff, cough, cough, whodunit?
Well, I'm finally feeling halfway decent again after a lousy weekend with one of the worst colds I've ever had. I managed to get through my heavy-load teaching days this week without keeling over and am looking forward to a long weekend (we've got Friday off). Unfortunately, though, Inki's now going through the ugly part of the cold, lagging me by about four days, and there's not a lot I can do to help.
Accordingly we took it easy tonight, and all things considered, we had a good time. We got to fire up our new stove with the big windows and watch the flames crackle and dance. It's a lot better at warming the apartment than our old one, and we saw the temperature in the apartment go up by about five degrees as the heat got spread around. We spent the evening curled up on the couch to enjoy the fire and watch an old Agatha Christie movie, "The Mirror Crack'd," with Angela Lansbury as Miss Marple and lots of big Hollywood names: Kim Novak, Rock Hudson, etc., etc. It was all very cozy. Just the thing for two people who aren't feeling up to much.
