Where's my cigar?

I think the whole car-importation misadventure is about over, thank God. We've gotten the car inspected all the way down in Haugesund, have paid the taxes and registration fees, and have gotten the two things we failed in the inspection fixed. We needed to have our parking lights changed from yellow to white and the VIN number stamped into the chassis right above the engine. Having taken care of that, I think -- fingers crossed -- that we can take the car in tomorrow morning and get it registered and get plates and be done with it. That would mark the end of our work to get the big things in our lives here in order -- house, (my) job, car. It feels sweet, I tell you. In the words of America's greatest military tactician, Lt. Col. John "Hannibal" Smith, "I love it when a plan comes together."
