Jacob's visit

One of my former students who is interning in Germany this summer dropped in on us for a weekend a couple of weeks ago, and we tried to give him a taste of both Bergen and the surrounding countryside.

Here he is in front of an ad for another Jacob's apartments which cater primarily to students. If the "living cheap" motto doesn't tell you that much, a closer look at the sheep in the ad reveals that this is one stoned ewe. One eye are bloodshot and she's got that slightly askew grin you see on everyone an hour into a Grateful Dead show, earlier if the ventilation is bad:
